Electrification of the auto industry is happening at a fast pace, although many environmentalists say otherwise.

Although having a very shy start back in the 1800s, all-electric cars weren’t a thing until 2008 when Tesla revealed the Roadster.

From 2010 onwards we started to see a shift from traditional engines to electric. Today, big names in the auto industry like Porsche, Ferrari and Lamborghini started manufacturing electric supercars.

Recently Lotus revealed the Evija (pronounced E-vi-ya), the first all-electric British hypercar.

Lotus Evija has a tremendous power output of 1,972 horsepower. Is powered by four electric motors, one dedicated to each wheel.

The hypercar has a top speed of over 200 miles and can go from 0 to 60mph in under 3 seconds.

Evija has a range of 250 miles and can be charged from 0 to 80% in just 12 minutes.

Only 130 examples will be made and each will cost an eye-watering $2,100,000+ million.
