Leica M10 Edition Zagato Camera

on

The collaboration between Leica and Italian luxury car company Zagato, created the ultra-limited edition Leica M10 “Edition Zagato”.

“Founded a century ago, Zagato has been the creator of the most beautiful coachbuilt bodies in the history of automobile construction,” Leica says. “The quintessential Italian brand is particularly well known for its innovative use of aluminium in automobile design and construction.”

“Edition Zagato” M10 camera features fine grooves in the metal body, and it was personally designed by Zagato’s current owner Dr. Andera Zagato.

Zagato’s Leica M10 comes with a special edition Summilux-M 35.mm f/1.4 lens that features an integrated lens hood, which can be pulled out and locked with one motion. Leica says this new feature “simplifies its handling”.

In terms of small details, the M10 “Edition Zagato” features a red shutter button and a greyscale Leica logo, opposite than the iconic Leica version.

“The design of the focusing aid on the lens pays homage to a typical styling signature of Zagato automobile design, the double-bubble roofline of many Zagato models,” Leica says. “The unmistakeable ‘Zagato’ logotype on the lens ring also indicates the role of the prominent design partner in this collaboration.”

The Leica M10 “Edition Zagato” is limited to only 250 exampels and can be purchased today at select Leica stores for $21,600.
